Training hard requires you to replenish what your body has lost.  Protein shakes and hydration supplements are a necessity when you train as much as I do.  Typically, I will use something for at least a month before it ever qualifies to be tournament-worthy.  I never (ever) try anything new around tournaments.  When I finish with an event, that's when I will come home and experiment.  This includes both what I put in my body and what I put on my body.  You can bet that I will test anything from shakes and supplements to  shoes, tennis strings, and clothes.  The willingness to experiment is how we evolve and improve ourselves and has always been a big part of my regime.  I am definitely a “tester and a learner."  Read on to see some of my favorite protein shakes and hydration supplements.  [...]
